Berlin in September 2024 - Day 3
We started Friday 13 September 2024 with a visit to the Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Strasse. - It is always an oppressive feeling when you can see the death strip in front of you and the tunnel routes that have been indicated.
From the memorial, our route took us to the Mauerpark and past the Max-Schmelling-Halle.
Before we reached the Gesundbrunnen S-Bahn stop, we made a detour to Swinemünder Brücke. - If there weren't cars parked there, the bridge construction would be even more impressive, but it is what it is!
We then took the S-Bahn to Alexanderplatz and from there to the Rotes Rathaus. Brick on the outside, but definitely worth seeing on the inside!
Right next to the Rotes Rathaus is the Nikolai neighbourhood, which is definitely worth a visit for photographers.
And at the end we "visited" Marx and Engels.
