Dresden & Leipzig Trip 2025 – 22 September 2025

On September 22, 2025, Dresden unfortunately greeted us with rain. Instead of letting the weather dampen our spirits, we took the opportunity to make a spontaneous trip to the famous Meissen Porcelain Manufactory.

There, we discovered a fascinating world of delicate forms, masterful craftsmanship, and remarkable variety. It is astounding what can be created from porcelain—from finely detailed figurines and artistic decorations to modern design objects. We were especially impressed by how different each piece appeared in shape, color, and expression, and by the level of precision required to bring every object to life.

The tour through the exhibition also offered exciting insights into the history and production of world-renowned Meissen porcelain. From the first sketches to the finished artwork, it became clear how many steps and how much skill are needed to create such a masterpiece.

In the end, we agreed: a visit to the manufactory is definitely worthwhile!
Even though the weather in Dresden wasn’t on our side, the day turned into an inspiring experience that gave us a new appreciation for one of Germany’s most traditional crafts.
