» This year, CARAVAN SALON once again confirms its role as the world’s leading platform for mobile travel and presents by far the largest selection of caravans. From compact entry-level models and family-friendly caravans to exclusive premium vehicles and off-road models, visitors to Düsseldorf will experience a globally unique variety of brands and models.

Almost all well-known national and international manufacturers, as well as numerous newcomers, are showcasing their latest models and new products. CARAVAN SALON thus offers a unique opportunity to directly compare different vehicle concepts, layouts and equipment options, experience innovations first-hand and receive comprehensive advice. “A caravan offers the freedom to tailor your holiday entirely to your own preferences – independently, comfortably and close to nature. Today, modern caravans combine this lifestyle with innovative technology, well-thought-out layout concepts and increasingly lightweight construction methods. It is precisely this development that makes caravans a particularly attractive form of mobile travel for many people,” says Director Stefan Koschke.

Modern caravans are more versatile than ever
The expectations placed on a caravan today are as varied as the people who travel in them. Whilst beginners appreciate compact and easy-to-tow models, spacious family caravans offer plenty of room for travelling together. Holidaymakers seeking comfort can find high-quality premium vehicles with exclusive fittings, modern design and innovative technologies. At the same time, robust off-road caravans and self-sufficient vehicle concepts featuring solar technology, lithium batteries and intelligent energy management are becoming increasingly important.

The current generation of caravans impressively demonstrates just how consistently the sector has evolved. Modern materials, innovative energy concepts featuring lithium batteries and solar technology, digital connectivity and intelligent space solutions make the caravan a contemporary form of mobile travel today.

Electric mobility is also opening new possibilities for caravanning. Thanks to modern lightweight construction concepts, numerous compact caravans can now – depending on the vehicle model and permissible towing capacity – already be towed by many current electric vehicles. Caravanning thus opens new possibilities for electric vehicle owners too, underlining the segment’s future viability.

A particular advantage of the caravan remains its flexibility at the holiday destination: whilst the caravan remains comfortably parked at the site or campsite, the towing vehicle is available at any time for day trips, shopping or exploring. At the same time, modern caravans with spacious living areas, plenty of natural light and clever layouts offer a sense of home that is particularly appreciated by many caravanning enthusiasts.

The most important marketplace for caravans
The caravan market continues to be influenced by the current economic climate. This makes CARAVAN SALON even more important as the industry’s central meeting place. Here, manufacturers, retailers and caravan enthusiasts come together face-to-face, laying the foundations for well-informed purchasing decisions and new business relationships. “CARAVAN SALON impressively demonstrates just how modern caravans are today. Anyone walking through the halls will experience an enormous variety of designs, fittings and innovations – from compact entry-level models to premium caravans. Nowhere else can prospective buyers compare and experience the full breadth of the market so directly. It is precisely this that makes a visit to the trade fair the decisive factor in many people’s purchasing decisions,” explains Stefan Koschke. With numerous world premieres and technical innovations, CARAVAN SALON is once again providing important impetus for the industry this year and impressively demonstrating just how dynamically caravans are continually evolving.

StarterWelt provides practical knowledge
StarterWelt, located in the outdoor area between Halls 5 and 9, is aimed specifically at those new to caravanning. The focus is on handling a caravan combination safely. Using a real-life example of a towing vehicle with a caravan attached, experts explain the correct way to couple and uncouple the caravan, offer tips on manoeuvring and also teach the basics of safe driving with a caravan. This helps to overcome any initial apprehensions and makes it easier to get started with caravanning.

Freedom, comfort and flexibility
Caravanning is all about travelling on your own terms, without any fixed plans. When travelling with a caravan, you decide for yourself on the route, travel dates and length of stay, combining the freedom of mobile travel with the comfort of a home away from home. Modern caravans offer the right vehicle for almost any lifestyle – from compact touring caravans to spacious family models.

With the world’s largest variety of brands and models, a unique overview of the market and expert advice, CARAVAN SALON remains the most important information and innovation platform for anyone who is enthusiastic about travelling by caravan or who wants to find the right caravan to suit their individual needs.
